Tirodarco quartet gather musicians with jazz background but that always attended different kind of music, spacing from ethnic to more contemporary and classical territories. The characteristic of this group is the string
trio sound, together with the clarinet: although tied with the classical tradition and to a certain type of repertoire, this sonority is treated in an unusual way, and become expression of a new way to conceive this kind of line up. A group that works out of prefigured schemes, often reinventing the role of the single instruments, seeking for always original sound textures.

Tirodarco quartet was born in 2003 and identfy itself as “unusual jazz ensamble”. musicians line-up is surely unusual and is formed by Dimitri Sillato (violin), Achille Succi (clarinet), Salvatore maiore (cello) and Roberto Batoli (double bass).
