Resti di Pharmakos

Pharmakos (2006-2008) is a theatre project which stems from the analysis of an encounter between two types of body: the medicalised, contemporary body, and its sacrificial, archaic counterpart. The bodies of the dancers that bring to life the five movements making up the project are accompanied by an electronic music performer (Elicheinfunzione), who composed the soundtrack and performs it live together with the actors. This operation has unfolded on a topographic map including 12 cities (Forlì, Cesena, Modena, Milano, Roma, Firenze, Pontedera, Sansepolcro, Casalmaggiore, Terni, Castelfranco Veneto, Bologna). The installation shows some material remains and video fragments running through the entire project.
