Strictly confidential is the paradigm of a museum choreographic device curated by gruppo nanou in collaboration with the festival: the guest/spectator is invited to choose their own fruition time by moving about freely, picking their own route with the possibility of turning back in order to go on losing their way in their visitor’s desire. The choreography loses its sense of beginning and end and recovers its dimension of “opera” to be watched, in which time is determined by the observer and not by the opera itself. 4 choreographers and a band. A succession of different works of art that, through their language and writing, bring about a flow of live performances.

Alberi’s roots lie in a vision of the forms of the existing where visible and invisible are considered the warp and weft of the same weaving. A subject matter which is connected by choreographer Fabrizio Favale with the very same nature of dance, in specific natural phenomena, in the European pagan folkloric tradition of celebrations and rituals linked to the cycle of the seasons, and in literature, in myths and fairy tales from everywhere. This extract presents a duo of only dance.

First notes for an ambiguous solo. This work deals with the topic of Transformation and Intensity in a continuos shift of ‘state’ and ‘persona’. This solo was born during the research for the new production / premiere in February 2017 at Les Hivernales / Avignon

An installative/choreographic/musical itinerary. Scattered pieces of evidence, deposited remains that lead to nothing but the work itself. A work burdened with past, a rubble of materials that absent-mindedly met each other. And if anything happens (action), it’s just to increase the guest’s privacy.

_Quale grado di consapevolezza abbiamo rispetto a noi stessi e alle nostre azioni?
This is not a show è una fenomenologia dell’essere umano sospesa in un luogo dove l’inganno è la realtà e la realtà è l’inganno, dove l’uomo indossa maschere archetipiche. La sfida tra realtà e finzione mostra come siamo in balia di forze esterne innescando meccanismi di autoinganno.

_What degree of awareness we have respect ourselves and our actions?
This is not a show is a phenomenology of the human being suspended in a place where deception is the reality and the reality is deception, where the man embodies masks representing archaic myths. The struggle between rational and irrational shows how we succumb to external forces that act triggering mechanisms of survival.
