Italian Performance Platform

Guest companies by Silvia Mei – 17 may 5.30pm

Artistic professionals and groups are invited to seize the opportunity of meeting international professionals at the festival. The aim is to provide a further opportunity to deepen understanding and knowledge of Italian artists despite not having sufficient space to show all their works. As such, each group will have 20 minutes to describe themselves in a video, using words or short performances. Anyone interested in such experiences is welcome, not only professionals.

The pulverisation of genre and operational transversality are distinguishing features of the
Italian contemporary scene. The companies invited to this, the second edition, not only produce performances, they combine their formal research experiences with social and educational activities. This composite and transversal language, with particular attention to installation and site specifics, challenges the so-called post dramatic register and conquers new territorialities belonging to other imaginary, fantastical worlds, where spectators can finally lose and regenerate themselves.
