OoopopoiooO⎪Vincenzo Vasi and Valeria Sturba

“OoopopoiooO” project is a free form impro blended with electronica, ambient music and minimalism. On stage you’ll find Vincenzo Vasi (theremin, electric bass, vocals, electronics, toys, ukulele) and Valeria Sturba (theremin, violin, vocals, toys, electronis). The set list goes from original tunes to funny music tributes to Aphex Twin, Philip Glass, Nucleus, Maurice Ravel etc…

Singer, versatile musician on several instruments and surreal composer, Vincenzo Vasi  is the one who broadcast the theremin language. He has been working with Mike Patton, Vinicio Capossela, Roy Paci and many others. He stretches time by time the illusory limits of his instrument, adding different colours and shades matching any challenge.

Born in 1991, Valeria Sturba  graduate in violin in 2010 from Pescara Music Conservatory. She moved to Bologna where she got in touch with many artists (as Cesare Livrizzi, Federico Sirianni, Germano Bonaveri, Paolo Fiorucci, Daniele Faraotti). She broadens her horizons from rock to tango, impro and electronics, adding devices and theremin to violin.
