Unknown Soldier

“Unknown Soldier” are two words representing a real and symbolic monument to memory, refusing to recognize a specific identity. A contradiction that comes to stage as a journey backwards, including videos and live action, as well as a heritage made of personal and collective histories. Coincidences play an exemplary role in this game: Muna Mussie’s grandmother name is Mary, the same name of the woman who chose the coffin in which the body of anonymous victim of war lay, in Altare della Patria.

Muna Mussie focuses on memories, heritage and identity in this project, reflecting her experience as Eritrean performer, based in Bruxelles and Bologna.
